Love reflection - part II

Why you have to discover your inside before to start making a portrait?

Maybe many things have to be cleared and the shadows have to disappear before you can even say:

"I'm making a portrait".

You have to know who's the true person you're going to paint.

you can be tempted to invent a more graceful and sweeter detail.

But when you realize you'll end up to have a bad work in your hands,

you'll probably start blaming yourself for a painting more beautiful of a totally different reality.

Not a problem. It's just another work experience in the mysterious job of life.

The important thing is don't be so foolish to repeat the past mistakes.

Just don't hide the signs and the scars on the face.

Don't hesitate to recognize a negative detail such as a disharmony.

Take the flower with its exact features, like the rose with its sharp thorns.

Don't be a resigned servant, that portrays the master more beautiful and wise than it is.

(Many artists as David have made this with their Napoleons).

It's just an advice: don't create anything for the sake of supposed masters.

Create your ideal world, for yourself.

The meaning of life is not to follow the beasts behind the wagon. Especially if you are an 'artist'.

From now on, you can be the one you've always wanted to be.

Love reflection.

Human figures have always had a great impact on fine arts.
Men, women, children, older people are ideal subjects for a painting or other creations as sculptures, mosaics, photography, etc.

But why the artist choose to paint, or recreate by arts particularly 'that' man, 'that' woman, 'that' child, or 'that' group of people and so on?

I suppose that's because of love, affection, or memories.

The signs of past are captured by expressions, a pose, focusing on a moment in time.
A facial expression as a smile, a wince of pain, anger or bother, give power to our construction.

A good portrait with human figures often don't represent the real model in front of us, but a pure imagination project.

The artist can create an illusory caption of time, people, events, environments. But for human limits, when he\she is creating, can't think about reality as it is...
